Ethan Korvne is a composer and sound designer from Akron, OH and based in Chicago. CHICAGO: Court Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, Chicago Children’s Theatre, Raven Theatre, About Face Theatre, Refracted Theatre Company, Northwestern University. REGIONAL: Kansas City Repertory Theatre, American Players Theatre, Peninsula Players, Illinois Shakespeare Festival. He is a two-time Joseph Jefferson Award winner and a six-time nominee. Ethan graduated from The Theatre School at DePaul University with a BFA in Sound Design.​

While the style of my compositions and designs varies from show to show, one goal connects them: to help support the narrative on stage with music and sound. I strive to do so at the highest possible level of quality and clarity. In doing all of this, a unique approach is essential. Where is the fun in creating something you've already heard before?
