Ethan Korvne is a Joseph Jefferson Award-winning composer, sound designer, and sound engineer from Akron, Ohio and based in Chicago. He is currently in his fourth and final year pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sound Design at The Theatre School (DePaul University). 

Recent professional designs include: Short Shakespeare! Romeo and Juliet at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Tambo & Bones at Refracted Theatre Company (2 Joseph Jefferson Awards - Original Music in a Play and Best Sound Design), and Gayme Changers at About Face Theatre.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

While the style of my compositions and designs vary from show to show, one goal connects them: to help support the narrative on stage with music and sound. I strive to do so at the highest possible quality (emotional and literal) and with utmost clarity. In doing all of this, a unique approach is essential. Where is the fun in creating something you've already heard before?
